Charles E. Mason passed away June 23, 2011 in Pueblo, Colorado. Charlie was born August 7, 1931 in Richland, Michigan and had lived in Pueblo since 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict. Charlie was a Professor of Automotive Parts and Service Management for many years before retiring in 1989. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and all things automotive. He was preceded in death by his first wife Carol and a brother Basil. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife Penny, of the family home, children; John Mason, of TX, Karen (Jerry Papara) Mason, of Denver, Doug (Jill) Mason, of AZ, Mark (Niki) Avery, of Greeley, Dan (Lisa) Avery, of Denver, as well as seven grandchildren. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles Mason Scholarship Fund, Automotive Parts and Service Management, CSU-Pueblo, through the funeral home office.
