Elsie M. Chappell passed away Dec 5, 2011 in Pueblo. Elsie was born June 9, 1925 in Hooker, Oklahoma to Lorenz and Jacie Kreiger. Elsie was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #7, as well as the Church of God in Pueblo where she played the piano and organ for many years. She loved and nurtured her garden of roses, beautiful flowers, fruits and vegetables and was talented in sewing and crafts of any kind. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years and 8 months, William N. “Bill” Chappell, as well as 2 sisters and 1 brother. Her survivors include her sons Michael (Judy) Chappell and Patrick (Patti) Chappell; granddaughter, Michelle (Jay) Bedford; great grandchildren, Cassie and Jacob Bedford, her sister Dorothy Luellen and sisters-in-law, Loretta Bradburn and Lena (Elmer) Briles as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family expresses a special thank you to Dr. Chris Smith, "Dr. Deb" Urioste and all of the staff at the Life Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dan Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Elsie may be made to O.E.S. Chapter #7, to The Church of God, or to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com.
