John A. “Jack” Boykin, 84, passed away December 6, 2011 in Pueblo, Colorado. Jack was a graduate of University of Georgia, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, a World War II US Navy Veteran and a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. Jack has been a Pueblo resident since 2001 where he and Jane moved from Georgia to be closer to family. Most recently he was a resident of Primrose Retirement Community where he loved the staff and his many friends. Special thanks to all at Primrose for their loving care and friendship of Jack. Jack is survived by his wife Jane; sons, Steve and Dave (Sheila) Boykin, as well as his 4 granddaughters, Rachel, JoJo, Jessie and Camie Boykin. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Dec 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane with Rev. Mark Crates officiating. Entombment will follow in the King of Kings Columbarium. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. Memorial may be made to King of Kings Lutheran Church or to Sangre de Cristo Hospice where Jack spent his final hours in capable and caring hands.
