Sophie Harrison

Sophie Harrison entered into the gates of Heaven and began her eternal life on January 26, 2012. Sophie was born July 25, 1926 in Ocate, New Mexico to Francisco and Bernice Espinoza. Sophie loved her family and was the true Matriarch. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and loved maintaining her immaculate yard. She and her husband loved sports and attending the events of all of their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Harrison, Sr., daughter Elizabeth and her sister Avila Trujillo. She was the loving mother and is survived by her sons, Ray (Laura), Jim (Jackie), Larry (Roberta), and Albert (Chris): and daughter Melinda (Monte) Montez. She is also survived by her brother Frank (Minnie) Espinoza, sisters, Connie Duran and Armeda (Bob) Vallejos, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Harrison will lie in state from 3 pm until 7 pm on Monday, January 30 at the Davis Mortuary. Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 2827 Lakeview Avenue in Pueblo.
