Floyd E. Mower passed away February 11, 2012 in Pueblo, Colorado. Floyd was born June 22, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas to Francis and Marjorie Mower. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea where he received 2 Bronze Stars, a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church and will be remembered as an all around handy-man who could fix anything. Floyd was employed for US West Telephone Company for 33 years before his retirement in 1987. His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rosalie; daughter, Lori (Kenneth Mathieu) Mower; son, David (Norma) Mower; his grandchildren, Amanda (John) McCain, Jarod (Darlene) Mower and Trevor Mower; great grandchildren, Madelynn McCain, Abigayle McCain and Kaiden Mower; his sister Jo Ann (Robert) Kirscht as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service was held at 11 am on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane, with Rev. Woody Carlson officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Fort Carson Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in memory of Floyd be made to the King of Kings Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2561 Vinewood Lane, Pueblo, CO 81005.
