Laura J. Storm, 58, went to be with the Lord on Oct 8, 2012. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD and had lived in Pueblo about 30 years.
Laura received her BA degree in elementary education from Sioux Falls College and taught school in SD before working for Bell Telephone and being transferred to Pueblo where she met and married her husband Tom.
Laura has been employed by School District 70 for the last 10 years working in food service. She loved volunteering in many areas and had a real knack for making people feel loved and comfortable. Laura was involved in 4-H as a parent and leader for nearly 20 years. She was a coach and commissioner for PSSA soccer and coached at Pleasant View School. She was an active member of her church; Awana programs, choir, church pianist, children’s program director and Sunday School teacher. Laura was a loving wife and mother and was proud of her children whom she home schooled through elementary and high school.
Laura is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tom Storm; daughters, Amanda, Rachel and Jessica; sons, Jeremy and Joshua; her father Laurel “Bud” Miller; brother, John (Dianne) Miller, sister, Ruth Miller; 14 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Friday, Oct 12 at the Davis Mortuary. A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Calvary Church, 5 Tulane with Pastors David Asch and George White officiating.
