Herman Floy McCleary passed away January 31, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO. Mac was born Dec. 9, 1917 in Callahan, Florida and had lived in Colorado since 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. McCleary worked many years as a mechanic and Service Manager in Co. Springs before moving to Colorado City in 1985, he returned to Co. Springs in 2000. He was a Past Master of Greenhorn Valley Lodge #196 AF&AM and a member of the Southern Colorado Scottish Rite. Mac was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathleen in 2000 and a daughter Della Marleen Paulsen. He is survived by his sons; Felix (Nancy) McCleary and Floy (Sarah) McCleary; a sister, Hazel Dowling; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at 11AM in the Vanguard Church, 3950 N. Academy Blvd., Co. Springs. Inurnment in the Colorado City Cemetery with memorial rites by Greenhorn Valley Lodge #196 AF&AM and the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team will be at 3PM on Friday as well.
