Patricia H. Spahr, 86, passed away from pancreatic cancer on March 5, 2013 in Pueblo, Colorado. She retired from Vassar College, NY and moved to Pueblo in 1989. She loved her family, the arts, especially classical music and opera, current affairs, and politics. Active involvement and leadership at First Unitarian Society, Pueblo Coalition for Literacy, local and national memorial societies, and the Sangre de Cristo Art Center. She supported Peace Corps efforts in Malawi, Africa. Pat’s greatest joy was giving to others through her time and her resources. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert Spahr. Survived by her daughter Cindy Spahr, of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Debbie (Tim) Parker and granddaughter, Becky (Bob) Dillis, of Verona, WI, and her grandson, Greg Parker, of Denver. Pat wanted her family to thank on her behalf the First Unitarian Society and her friends for their caring and compassion. Celebration of Pat’s life to be held on Saturday, March 9 at 3 pm at First Unitarian Society, 110 S. La Crosse Ave.. Refreshments with family to follow.
