Andree de Courtney Rogers Hinkle passed away June 8, 2013 in Walsenburg, Colorado. She was born December 25, 1924 in Paris France. Andree spent her childhood and early adult years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a longtime resident of both Castle Rock and Aurora, Colorado before moving to Reno and Carson City Nevada and then returning to Colorado and spending her last few years at the Colorado State Veterans Home in Walsenburg. Andree was preceded in death by her parents Thomas B. Rogers III and Ann Martingdale Rogers Palmer; her stepfather, Russell Palmer; 2 brothers, Bo and Jack Rogers; her grandson, Johnnie Williams and her husband Walter Hinkle. Her survivors include her daughters; Christine Williams and June "Annie" Rees; her son Walter Scott Hinkle as well as 8 grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. No public services will be held. The family suggests that memorial contributions in memory of Adnree be made to the Colorado State Veterans Home, 23500 US Highway, Walsenburg, CO 81089 or to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 711 Walsen Avenue, Walsenburg, CO 81089.
