Lucas Clayton Van Pelt was born on May 7, 1981; he left us too soon and unexpectedly to another realm on August 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gordon McKenzie, grandparents Kenneth and Alice Van Pelt. Survived by parents Ken and Jean Van Pelt, sister Mallory (Russ) Springer, Grandmother Grace McKenzie Sharp, Uncle Don McKenzie, Uncle Dennis (Michelle) McKenzie, Uncle Dave (Donna) McKenzie, Uncle Dan (Donna) McKenzie, Aunt Diana (Randy) Kelley, numerous cousins and friends. A 1999 graduate of Pueblo Technical Academy, Lucas owned his own IT consulting business. He enjoyed computers, video games, NASCAR, and his beloved San Francisco Giants. We’ll miss his dry humor and wit, his sly smile, his gentle soul and most of all his big hugs. There will never be anybody like you, you are unique. We will always love you very much. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at 3:00PM in the Davis Memorial Chapel.
