John R. Harr, 86, longtime Colorado resident and teacher at South High School for 30 years died Friday, March 21, 2014 in Pueblo, Colorado. John was a graduate of Colorado State College of Education with a B.A. and M.A. in music. He was a member of Kiwanis, Silver State Lodge #95 AF & AM, So. Co. Consistory for 34 years and the Al Kaly Shrine where he played the Calliope in parades for 10 years. John was an avid gardener and enjoyed his stained glass. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Ouita Joan; children, Shirley Harr, Robert (Jerra) Harr, Nancy Harr; grandchildren, Shannon (Kendall) Yoder, Ryan (Colby) Harr, Shaun Romero and a great grandchild Jasmine Romero. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th Street.
