Kathleen DeFazio

Kathleen Reardon DeFazio passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2014 in Pueblo. Born on July 17, 1933 in Braddock, PA, educated at Mercy Hospital, and employed as a Registered Nurse, she was married to her loving husband, Albert J. DeFazio Jr. for 55 years and resided in Pueblo since 2005. Kathleen loved following the exploits of her grandchildren, walking anywhere, watching the sunrise at the beach, smiling and laughing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, David Showalter. Her survivors include her husband; her children, Mary (Mike) DeFazio Showalter, Albert J. (Lynn) DeFazio III, Kathy D. (Craig) Shapiro and Beth DeFazio (Jeff) Schulze; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tim) Crews, Ryan (Meredith) Showalter, Michelle (Chris) Willauer, Scott Showalter, Katherine (Andrew) DeFazio, John DeFazio, Allie Shapiro, Kevin (Kayla) Shapiro, Jeff (Cassidy) Shapiro, Bryan and Dylan Shapiro, Megan, Brandon and Justin Schulze as well as her great grandchildren Trey and Charlotte Crews and Mason and Maddox Showalter; and numerous nephews and nieces. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 2827 Lakeview Avenue.
