Calvin William Jones

Calvin W. Jones passed away Sept 7, 2008 in Pueblo. Cal was born July 13, 1925 in Gary, Indiana to Stanley and Helena Jones. Calvin was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. He retired after 30 years of service as a letter carrier for the US Post Office. Cal was a member of the CF&I Fin and Feather Club, an avid Broncos and Rockies fan and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roland Stanley Jones. Calvin is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Jeanne, daughter; Kathy Adcox, son; Rick (Cindy) Jones, all of Pueblo, 4 grandchildren Robb, Jeff, Brittany, and Courtney, sisters-in-law, Mary Rose Chubrilo and Mary Jane Jones, as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Nancy Moya. Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, Sept 10, 2008 at the Davis Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, Sept 11, 2008 in the Davis Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark J. Crates, of King of Kings Lutheran Church, officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association in Cal’s name.
