David V. Fern passed away October 5, 2008 in Pueblo. He was born on April 21, 1940 in Pueblo to Roy and Hazel Fern and was a Graduate of Central High School. David was an Eagle Scout, a Champion Marksman in the ROTC and National Guard, an avid Outdoorsman and was a member of Eagles Aerie #145 in Pueblo. He was employed as a lineman, cable splicer and engineer for the telephone company for 30 years before retiring in 1990. Mr. Fern is survived by his wife Glenna of Pueblo, sons David (Debbie Huff) Fern of Pueblo, Gerald (Pauline) Fern, of Rye, his brother Jim Fern of Denver, sister Lucille Porter of MO, grandchildren Cody, Ethan, Jessie and Donna, an aunt Genevive Mollin of Pueblo and numerous other friends and relatives. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A gathering in David’s honor will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 1 until 3 PM at 619 Hewitt Street in Pueblo.
