Henrietta M. Unwin

Henrietta M. Unwin, formerly of Reading, PA, died Oct 4, 2008 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born Aug 23, 1917 in Minot, North Dakota to May and Alfred Unwin. She received a B.A. degree from the State Teacher’s College in Minot and a M.A. degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. She was a charter member of the National Association of Social Workers. Following her retirement from the Family Guidance Center in Reading, Ms. Unwin volunteered for 10 years as a reading tutor with the Exeter School District. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Grace Unwin and Dallas Gillmore and brothers Richard, Dudley, Robert, John and Patrick Unwin. Her survivors include her sisters, Beverlee Darrow, of Pueblo, CO, Marge Ertresvaag, of Bismark, ND, and Merry Kaastad, of Fort Worth, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
