Hazel Imes

Hazel Ann Imes, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the age of 82. Hazel was born in Alcoa, Tennessee and moved to Colorado to further her education. Her love of art and teaching inspired her to pursue a career in academics. She served as an elementary teacher and principal in charge of curriculum development for District 60. Aside from her efforts as a dedicated educator, she was an artist with many of her paintings awarded with honors. Hazel was preceded in death by her spouse, Bob, a son, Rob, sister, Edith and brother, Ray. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Jo Householder ( Alabama) and Jane Robinson (Tenn.), son, Steve (Jan), Keith and Tyler Hobson; daughter, Randa (Max), Zack (Marissa), Shai and Sean Burch, Ian Burch, Kyra (Jake), and Kaylee Kinslow; daughter-in-law, Cherith, and children, Robby, Austin and Annie Imes; daughter, Ret LTC Rae Marie Hartmann (Ron), Stevie (Jason) and Jasper Romero, CPT Michael (Vanessa), Kai Hartmann; Jay Russell; Ret SFC Rusty (Claudia), Marli, Ian, and Mia Imes; Jerry and children, Merysa (Ryan) Swallows, Ciera, Dakota, and Dalton Imes. Services will be held on Monday, April 6th at 11 AM in the Beulah United Methodist Church, 5903 Pennsylvania Ave in Beulah, Colorado Reception to follow at the Beulah Community Center.
