Alfred Weber passed away Sept 12, 2015 in Pueblo. He was born on Oct 25, 1928 in Herrington, KS to John and Caroline Weber. Alfred was employed at the Union Pacific Railroad for 31 years before his retirement. He and his wife Edna also operated restaurants for many years. Alfred was a devout Catholic. He lived his life dedicated to God as well as being very patriotic. His favorite activity was baseball. He built fields at Central High School and South High School in Pueblo. Alfred was responsible for coaching many young people in his dedication to the sport. He affectionately became known as “Coach Al”. He always encouraged the players to have the highest morals. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; brothers, Mark and Ardo Weber; sisters, Mary Coup, Theresa Morgan, Connie Hogland and Joann Lancaster. His survivors include his special friend June Manley; daughter, Debra Williams, son, Ronald (Sandra) Weber; sister, Martha (Jerry) Sly; brother, Leo (Jeanne) Weber; his grandchildren, Zoe (Jeff) Kemler, Jetta Weber, John (Amber) Williams, Jennifer (Michael) Cappeli as well as 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept 16, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Herington, Kansas. Interment will follow in the in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
