Zelma O. West, 90, passed away Feb 17, 2009 in Pueblo West. Zelma was born Aug 21, 1918 in Pocasset, Oklahoma, one of ten children, to Afa and Dora Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years John E. West in 2006, her parents and 6 siblings, Harold Hardy, Lorraine Benson, Ival Hardy, Mike Hardy, Ramsey Hardy, Derrel Hardy. Mrs. West is survived by her children, John M. (Nancy) West, of Arvada, Marilyn (Jim) Fuller, of Arizona, Sharon (Gary) Spinuzzi, of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Melissa (Monty) Eich, John William (Leandra) West, Julia West, Erika (Josh) Belk, Josh (Sanae) Pearson, Brad Spinuzzi and Sarah Spinuzzi; step grandchildren, Bryan and Kyle Fuller; great grandchildren, Charolette and Juliette Eich, Johnny, Aurora and Dagny West, and Jayden Belk; step great grandchildren, Luc and Victoria Fuller; two brothers, Loyd and Lavoy Hardy; one sister, Glenilis Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Pueblo. Zelma was a loving wife and mother, a gifted seamstress who enjoyed making wedding gowns and formals for others. She welcomed family, friends, missionaries and visiting pastors into her home and lovingly fed and entertained them over the years. Funeral service, 10 am, Monday, Feb 23, 2009, First Southern Baptist Church, 301 Cleveland Ave. Interment will follow at Imperial Cemetery. The family would like to thank Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their services. Memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist Church or the Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
