Marian M. Walker

Marian Walker went to be with the Lord Friday, Sept.18, 2015 at the age of 99. Born March 24, 1916 in Kansas, she spent her adult life in Pueblo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ned, who passed away in 2003 after 59 years of marriage. Marian and Ned were involved in numerous organizations and were well known for their cooking skills, Marian was a member of Adah Chapter OES #34, Laurel Court #16 Amaranth, San Isabel Shrine #7, Ruhamah Temple #71 Daughters of the Nile, Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Extension Club on the Mesa. Most recently Marian was honored to be the Silver Queen representative at the 2015 Colorado State Fair, representing Belmont Senior Care, where she spent her last eight months. Prior to that, she was active at the Villa Pueblo Towers participating in exercise classes, bingo, council, and any other activity offered. Marian was also preceded in death by her four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service was held at 11:00 Saturday, Oct. 3 at Central Christian Church, 1902 Hudson, in Pueblo.
