John Robertus

John Robertus went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2009. John was born April 6, 1925 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the youngest of six children to Henry and Katherine Robertus. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served in the Southern Phillippines and the Western Pacific Theatres during WWII. John was employed by Associated Grocers for 19½ years before his retirement in 1976 and is a member of Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Pueblo West. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. His survivors include his wife of 62 years Irene; children Michael (Debbie) Robertus and Linda (Kurt) GeBauer, 5 grandchildren; Donald, Denise, Amy, Corey and Keli, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation for Mr Robertus will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 4 until 6 pm at the Davis Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 145 S. Abarr Drive in Pueblo West. Cremation will follow in the Davis Crematory with entombment in the Veterans Court of Honor at Imperial Cemetery at a later date.
