Larry Eldon Ritchie

Larry E. Ritchie passed away July 4, 2009 in Gunnison, Colorado. Larry was born February 21, 1947 in Lamar, Colorado to Laurence and Odette Ritchie. He lived his first 8 years in Holly before moving to Pueblo in 1955. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam War. For the last 15 years, Larry was employed by Kirkland Construction Company, whose love and support through Larry’s illness is greatly appreciated by the Ritchie family. Larry loved the outdoors especially fly fishing the creeks in Gunnison County. He also loved 4-wheeling, camping and hunting with his son and buddies. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and his nephew Dustin. His survivors include his wife Martha; his son and best buddy Larry Dean Ritchie; mother, Odette Ritchie; sister, Lynnette McArthur, brother-in-law Joe (Mary Riensch) Kronwitter; sister-in-law Francie (Mike) Hurtado as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 10, 2009 in the Central Christian Church, 1902 N. Hudson.
