John E. Neumeister, Jr.

John E. Neumeister, Jr, passed away July 17, 2009 in Pueblo. John was born Nov 16, 1921 in Pueblo. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps having served during WWII. John's passion was cars and during his life belonged to several organizations including the SSCA. He built, raced and fixed them throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Neumeister and Goldie E. Roebuck; step mother, Minnie D. Neumeister; wives, Lena Marie Neumeister and Doris Cleone Neumeister; sisters, Mary Bishard and Ada Erickson; son, Douglas Neumeister and step son Edward Hess. His survivors include his children John E. (Ronda) Neumeister, III, Robert D. (Marybeth) Neumeister and Cheryl (John Wiley) Neumeister; grandchildren, Brandie (Bret) Sutton, Brooke (Devin) Boisvert, Chance Dockter, Loren Neumeister and Logan Neumeister, Michael Dicino and Stephanie (Toby) Doub; 8 great grandchildren as well as his special friend Fay Naumchik. John is also survived by members of the Ricci and Palumbo families. At his request, cremation with no public services. The family suggests contributions in memory of John be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice or the American Cancer Society through the mortuary.
