John Mark Perkins was born on March 11, 1966 in Princeton, New Jersey and passed away March 28, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado. John was a drywaller by trade, eventually owning his own drywall business, John Perkins Drywall. He earned an Associates of Science degree at Pueblo Community College in 2012, graduating with honors, and continued his education at Colorado State University. Throughout his life, John enjoyed competitive motocross and jet skiing, but his greatest enjoyment was hockey. John started playing hockey at the age of two and continued to play the entirety of his life throughout the US and Canada. John was a dedicated and loving father to five children, and a beloved friend of many. His love, compassion, understanding, wisdom, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father David Perkins and his brother Frank Perkins. John is survived by his mother Catherine (Paul) Perkins, sister Kathleen Perkins, his children Danielle (Greg) Perkins, Heather (Ben) Zoch, Elizabeth (Josiah) Lemons, Christopher (Madalyne) Perkins, and Nicholas (Carly) Perkins, and 8 grandchildren. Memorial services to be held at 2:00 PM on April 12, 2017 at the Sangre De Cristo Art Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pueblo Youth Hockey Association.
