Constance “Connie” J. Saathoff passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2017 after 84 wonderful years of life. Connie was a beautiful, intelligent woman who lived her life with dignity, compassion, generosity, and grace. Connie loved her family more than anything. Connie is survived by her daughter Nancy L. Saathoff, her son Michael C. Saathoff, MD, his wife Kristen NS Saathoff, MD, and five grandchildren: Jessica Litvinoff, Cody Petersen, Karyn, Kalie, and Anna Saathoff (and her 4 cats.) We all loved Connie, our Mom, our Grandma, and our Nana, very much! Although we will miss her deeply, we are comforted to know she is with God in Heaven now and watching over us. Connie was born in Hollywood, California to Rosalie Anna and Robert Fenton Craig on December 19, 1932. She lived in California for most of her first 75 years. She moved to Pueblo, CO in 2008 to be closer to her family here, and especially, her grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother Robert “Bob” Craig, Jr., and her loving husband of 32 years Robert “Bob” L. Saathoff of North Hollywood, CA. Connie loved being married to Bob, a Captain in the Army, and being a military wife. She enjoyed her travels to Europe and across the United States, as she accompanied him on his military tours. Connie welcomed all people with open arms, regardless of their background. Her unconditional love, acceptance, and encouragement were a positive influence in so many people’s lives. To all who knew and loved Connie, let her love, her smile, and her great sense of humor live on in you! Service to be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11 am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Ln, Pueblo CO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to King of Kings Lutheran Church and note “Scholarship Fund” on the memo line, PAWS for Life, or the charity of your choice.
