Delpha M. Herman passed away Dec 21, 2009 in Pueblo. Delpha was born Jan 31, 1917 near Calhan in El Paso County, Colorado, one of nine children, to Archie and Alice Masters. Delpha was a homemaker. She loved sewing, cooking, music and dancing but most of all she loved her family and supporting their activities. She was truly a partner in running the family cattle ranch with her husband Henry until his death. She also worked as a Lab Tech for sugar companies and did bookkeeping for the SE Sugar City Pipeline for many years. She will be greatly missed. Delpha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry, all 8 of her siblings and her grandson Kent. Her survivors include her daughter Carol M. Queener-Berg and her husband Larry; son, Donald H. Herman; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Carrie Switzer, Pamela Herman, Dr. Lynnette Jacobsen and Jennifer Blood; 6 great grandchildren, Katie, Anna, Hope, Elliana, Josh and Ava, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, Dec 29, 2009 at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sugar City. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Delpha’s name to the Alzheimer’s Assn through the mortuary.
