Eleanor Anne Shreve, a longtime resident of Rye, Colorado passed quietly during the evening of July 13, 2010 in Pueblo, CO. Born Eleanor Anne Burrows on Aug 16, 1921, she was an accomplished pianist and cellist, passing her love of music on to many of her family and friends. As a young woman she instructed the Youth Fellowship classes in the Rye Home United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school classes, and later served as an education director for the Methodist Church. Anne was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Nelson Barnes; mother, Floy Alberta Burrows; brothers, William, Arthur and John Burrows, and her grandson Adrian Benham. She is survived by her loving husband of over 65 years, Don H. Shreve; her daughter Roberta (Jim) Adair, of Rye; son, Paul (Jerri) Shreve, of Pueblo; five grandchildren, Michelle Benham, Paul (Paula) Shreve, Brett (Shannon) Shreve, Janelle Shreve and Joleen (Chris) Hunter; six great grandchildren, Danae, Derek, Morgen and Micaela Shreve, Aavana Shreve and Kayden Hunter called her Grannie Annie. Another great grandchild will arrive soon. Also survived by her sisters, Sally Coleman, of Erie, PA, and Sandra (Arnold) Brown, of Ashtabula, OH.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Anne will be missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Rye Home United Methodist Church in Rye.
