Anne S. Gintert passed away quietly, October 15, 2010 at her home in Pueblo, Colorado. Anne was born July 28, 1921 in Bolivar, Pennsylvania, 1 of 11 children to Andrew and Susie Sisitka. During WWII she worked doing her part to help the boys as “Rosie the Riveter” at the Ravenna Arsenal in Ohio. After raising her children, she returned to work preparing and serving lunches for children at the Warren City Schools. She loved spending time with family so following her retirement, she moved to Pueblo prior to the birth of their first grandchild. She was a true homemaker and loved cooking, baking and gardening. Anne was preceded in death by her husband William in 1990, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Her survivors include her children; Barbara (Jim) Ripperger, of Pueblo, and William Gintert, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; granddaughters, Julie and Danielle; sisters, Helen, Julia and Mary as well as numerous nieces nephews and other relatives. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, Oct 20, 2010 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane, with Rev. Mark Crates officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband William in the Braceville Cemetery in Braceville, OH at a later date. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
