Donald Heizer

Donald Heizer passed away October 8, 2010 at the COlorado State Veterans Home in Florence, Colorado. He was born November 25, 1919 in Las Animas, Colorado to David and Elmona Heizer and had lived in Pueblo since 1959. Don was employed as an Insurance and Real Estate Agent for many years before retiring in 1985. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge in Rock Ford. Mr. Heizer was preceded in death by his wife Ida, as well as a brother John Heizer and a sister Mary Mayer. He is survived by his son Robert Heizer, a brother Robert M. Heizer of AZ, two grandchildren, Aaron Heizer and Sara Heizer and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, 2:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
