Augustine S. Vigil

Augustine S. Vigil passed away December 31, 2021 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born June 11, 1929 in Moffat, Colorado, 1 of 13 children to Santiago and Emelina Sarah Vigil. Mr. Vigil was a 20 year veteran of the US Army where he received a Purple Heart Medal during the Korean War. Following his military retirement he was employed at the US Post Office in Pueblo before retiring after 20 years. He enjoyed yard work, fishing and working on home projects. Mr. Vigil was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary; daughters, Debra and Sarah; 3 sisters and 1 brother. His survivors include his daughter, Donna (Dale) Taylor; son-in-law, John Thomas; 4 grandchildren, Andrea, Dennis, Gene and Victoria; 7 great grandchildren, Alexandra, Maddison, Samantha, Esperanza, Robert, Aubree and Cholie; 4 brothers, Manuel, Dan, Salome and Juan and 3 sisters, Susan, Mary Jo and Gloria as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pall Bearers for Mr. Vigil will be Dennis Taylor, Gene Taylor, Robert Taylor, Damian Vigil, Daniel Vigil and Jonathan Vigil. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Roselawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Honor Team. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
