We are sad to announce that Cynthia Lou Torres, 69, of Pueblo, Colorado, departed this life on February 9, 2023.
Cynthia retired from Lockheed Martin after 32 years of service. She was also the proud owner of El Nopal Restaurant for many years and enjoyed taking care of customers, cooking, and making orders. A hard-worker her whole life, she also loved to shop, watch sports and cooking shows, go out to eat, and, above all, spend time with and take care of her family. Her incomparable kindness, warm hugs, and cheerful personality will be sorely and forever missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, William and Anna Evelyn Parkinen; grandmother, Francis Ratliff; brother, Waine, and nephew, Shane.
Cynthia is survived by her loving children, George Scott (Kim), Kevin (Brenda), and Ryan (Amy); siblings, Diana (Dave) Bradley, Ronald (Frances) Parkinen and Cheryl Califano; special nephews, Joseph (Andrea) Torres and Robert John (Lorraine) Torres, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Also survived by the pride and joy of her life, her cherished grandchildren Marshall, Preston, Emma and Kelley.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10am at Fellowship of the Rockies, 3892 W. Northern Avenue in Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
