Gary L. Caffey

Gary Lavelle Caffey passed away September 7, 2023 in Pueblo.   Gary was born July 16, 1937 in Pueblo to Ernest and Dorothy Caffey.  He worked for Associated Grocers for many years along with numerous other jobs including managing Alta Gas Stations before his retirement.  Gary was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was a 50+ year member of South Pueblo Lodge #31 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; infant son, Gary Gene Caffey; sister, Maxine and brother, Frank.  His survivors include his children, Sandra Caffey, Lynn (Mark) Caffey and Larry (Diane) Caffey; grandchildren, Sherie (Nick) Shaffer and Craig Caffey; great grandchildren, Arlo and Rorie Shaffer; his brother, Richard Caffey; sisters, Deanie (Sam) Samuels and Mildred (Don) Markowski; sister-in-law, Karen Caffey and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

Visitation for Mr. Caffey will be held on Wednesday, Sept 13^th from 1 pm until 5 pm at the Davis Mortuary.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept 14^th at 10 am in the Davis Memorial Chapel.   Graveside services will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery at 1 PM with Masonic Burial Rites by South Pueblo Lodge #31 AF&AM and military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
