Janice Marie Shelinbarger, 79 Passed away unexpectedly at home on June 5, 2019 in Pueblo. What an incredible person she was. She took care of a husband and 3 boys' every need, selflessly. In her mid-30's she achieved her degree in nursing then cared for the sick and dying in her community for decades. After she retired from nursing, she volunteered at Parkview Hospital until the end of her days. She loved nature and enjoyed the Rocky Mountains from New Mexico to Alaska and traveled thousands of miles with her husband of 61 years, Richard. Janice was born November 4, 1939 in Oak Creek, CO. to Melvin and Clara Richards, and had been a long-time resident of Pueblo. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard and sister Lillian. Survived by her sons, Alan (Susan), Brian and Richie, niece Barbara Miller and grandchildren Christy and Michael. There will be a Celebration of Life for her from 5 to 8:30pm, on Thursday, June 13th at Davis Mortuary in Pueblo. Flowers and condolences can be sent to DavisMortuary.com.
