John A. Marquez passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2019 in Pueblo. He was born March 3, 1949 to Toney and Fay Marquez. John worked as a dispatcher for the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office for many years before his retirement. He was a loving and caring man who always put others before himself. John enjoyed watching sports, especially the Nuggets, Rockies, Broncos and Avalanche but his true pride and joy was his grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Junior Marquez and sister, Mary Ann Marquez. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Roslyn; sons, Johnny, Jr., Matthew (Carla) and Michael (Trisha) as well as his grandchildren Johnny III, Gio, Jordan and Alexis. We love you, dad, and thank you for teaching us to be men and to take care of our families as you had always done for us. All the things you taught us we will pass onto your grandkids as you watch them grow. Our pain from missing you is well worth the eternal happiness you have now. We know you are always with us and watching over everyone. All your wishes will be carried out how you wanted them and most importantly, Mom is taken care of as we spoke about on many occasions. She will not have a single worry except missing you. We love you and know you are with us each and every day. We know that one day we will all be together again. Missing you, your loving family. At his request, cremation has taken place. No public services are planned. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
