JON M. ELGIN

Jon M. Elgin, Sr., passed away Feb 19, 2019 in Pueblo.  He was born Nov 10, 1942 in Nowata, OK to Carl and June Elgin. Jon was a well-known Pueblo business owner having owned Belmont Tire and Sunset Tire and Automotive Repair for many years before his retirement.  He was active in the Pueblo auto racing scene, a past president of the Pueblo Optimist Club and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Yvonne, and his daughter Janice.   His survivors include his daughters, Beth (Sam) Riggenbach and Karen Elgin and special friend Rodney Weldon; son, Jon Elgin, Jr.;  sisters, Peggy Meservey and Carla (Lee) Scott; his grandchildren Heather Beaudry, Hayden Elgin and Ashley Elgin and his beloved pets, Honey and Sugar.  Cremation has taken place.  Services for Jon will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, Feb 23, 2019 at the Temple Baptist Church, 3030 Thatcher Avenue.  Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com.
