Kathleen E. Kenick

Kathleen E. Kenick passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2021 in Pueblo, Colorado.  She was born April 2, 1949 in Pueblo, one of two children, to Juanita and Lud Blatnick.  Kathleen attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary School and graduated from Pueblo Catholic High.   She was a devoted mother and took great pride in attending her children’s school activities. Her life’s work was as a dental receptionist. Kathleen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was a Past Exalted Ruler and active member of the BPO Elks Lodge #90. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted life partner Robert L. Fritzel.  Kathleen is survived by her children, Chris Kenick and Julie Padilla, and stepsons Kent Fritzel (Nick Barnes) and Scott Bononcini; her grandchildren, Jacob, Ricky, Nicolas and Gena; 2 great grandchildren; her sister, Irene Blatnick and numerous other relatives including members of the Baldwin, Blatnick, Fognani and Kogovesk families.  

Private interment will be held in the Roselawn Cemetery with fraternal rites provided by BPO Elks Lodge #90.    A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave in Pueblo.
