Kenneth L. Blanks

Kenneth “Ken, Kenny” L. Blanks, 63, of Pueblo, Colorado suddenly passed away at home on March 28, 2025. Kenneth was born to George and Louise Blanks on July 20, 1961, in Oak Hill, West Virginia. He was the youngest of seven children: Shelva, Joyce, George, Stanley, Phyllis, and Phillip.

Kenneth served in the Air Force for 22 years, stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He left his mark in Goldsboro by airbrushing nose art on airplanes; also creating numerous airbrushing and wood-burning projects for people. After his retirement, Kenneth moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where he continued to create airbrushing pieces, many of which are still visible in Pueblo. Kenneth began working for Goodrich Corporation in 2011, now known as Raytheon Technologies, where he was a Carbon Brake Refurb Machinist Lead. His support, leadership, and humor meant more to his coworkers than words can express. Kenneth devoted his mind, body, and spirit to cooking. He was regarded as a chef, BBQ master, and baker. His family, friends, and coworkers will miss his culinary creations. Additionally, he was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed weightlifting and airbrushing, and loved to DJ in his spare time back in the day.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Blanks and brother Rev. Stanley Blanks of West Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cheryl Blanks; his daughter, Sharifah Stahl of Texas; his sisters Shelva (Tyrone) Gwinn of North Carolina and Joyce Blanks of West Virginia; his brothers George Blanks of Ohio and Phillip (Kesha) Blanks of North Carolina; Stepdaughters Brandie Chambers of Texas and Allison Chambers of Colorado; sisters-in-law, Cindy (John) Lind of Nevada and Brenda (Randy) Bowen of Colorado. He is a grandfather of seven and great-grandfather to one, with another on the way. He is also an uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.

A Celebration of Life Open House for Kenneth will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Eagleridge Event Center, 805 Eagleridge Boulevard, Suite 170 in Pueblo, Colorado.
