Laurie McCanne

Lorraine “Laurie” B. McCanne (Johnson), born in Laconia, NH, wife to Roy McCanne (deceased March 26th, 2013), moved on from this earth on September 27, 2022, at the age of 87.

Laurie is survived by her children Terry (Elizabeth), Randy (Sue), Cindy, and Lee (Debbie), and her grandchildren Bradley, Matthew, Benton, Bryce, and step-grandchildren, Jane, Paul, Greg, (Terry’s) Steve, and Michaela (Randy’s), plus 15 step-great-grandchildren.

Laurie devoted her life and love to her family and nature. An avid hiker, skier, mountain climber - including 42 14’ers - bicyclist, backpacker, gardener, craftswoman, and bird-watcher. Laurie was an active participant in the Colorado Mountain Club and supported the Pueblo Nature and Raptor Center.

A family gathering in the mountains will be planned at a later date. No formal public service will be held.
