Marjorie A. Thomas

Marjorie A. Thomas, 83, passed away May 17, 2023. She was a lifelong Pueblo resident being born at the old St Mary Hospital on June 18, 1939 to Earl and Genevieve Akin. Marge was married to her high school sweetheart James G. Thomas for 47 years at Jim’s death in 2003. Marge was a proud member of Central High School class of ‘57 and remained an active member of the alumni. She was a Member of The Daughters of The American Revolution, Pueblo County Historical Society and the Nature & Raptor Center of Pueblo.

Marge loved to dance. She and Jim were members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #145 and would go there to dance to live music. She loved to vacation with family. Annual trips to Taylor Park Colorado, visiting New York and Germany were highlights.

Marge was primarily a homemaker. She worked in food service at Columbian grade school. She attended Pueblo Community College where she received her associate degree in accounting in 1982 and then worked at Decibel Credit Union and H&R Block.

Marge was proceeded in death by her husband Jim; brother in law, Dave Pankoff and grandson Joey Hultman. She leaves behind brothers; Ron (Betty) Akin and Walt (Karen) Akin; sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Leachman and Janet (Dave) Pankoff; daughters, Paula (John) McCoy, Barbara (Dan) Wodiuk, Cheryl (Bob) Rosenthal and Becky (Ron) Brandt; Grandchildren, Jim (Amy) Mc Coy, Jennifer(Kevin) Smith, Janell (Nate) Campbell, Jacob (Desi) Wodiuk, Steven Wodiuk, Elizabeth (Darace) Smith, Katie (David) Herrera, Justin Wassum, Robert(Aylissa) Hultman, Michael (Katie) Hultman, Riley (Taylor) Brandt, Rustyn Brandt, Rachael (Chris) Speights. 14 great grandchildren and lifelong friend Roberta Avalos.

Marjorie will be interred next to her husband Jim following a private family service in the Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo.
