Matthew E. Hobson

Matthew E. Hobson passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2024 in Pueblo.  He was born on February 2^nd, 1987 to Theresa M. Hobson.  He was raised by Theresa, his stepfather Michael Villagrana and his grandmother Barbara, Uncle Mark and Aunt Shay.  His biological father was Merle (Duke) Jennings.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Duke Jennings; wife, Jenna Stonehouse; uncle, Grant (Skip) Jennings and grandparents, Barbara and Erle Hobson.

He is survived by his mother Theresa Hobson; stepfather, Michael Villagrana; brothers, Michael and Austin Villagrana; brother, Joshawa Jennings; sister, Lyric Jennings; uncle, Mark Hobson;  aunt, Shay (Tom) Wolf; grandparents, Monte Villagrana, Sierra (Don) Dietrich; girlfriend, Natalie Helman, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Matthew loved all manner of music, old books, astrology, astronomy and geology.  He loved learning whether it was from a book or movie or a good conversation.  He loved to laugh and joke and was extremely creative.  He created beautiful art in his jewelry, writing and drawing.  

Matthew loved adventures in the mountains, at the beach or in the desert and had lived in several states across the US.  He recently returned home to Colorado from Oregon with his girlfriend Natalie.  He enjoyed spending time with her, listening to music as they created art together.

Celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Odd Fellows Chapel, 1020 15^th Street, Canon City, CO.
