Rebecca Nunez-Ibarra

Rebecca L. Thew Nunez-Ibarra passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She was born August 2, 1993 in Rifle Colorado to James Then and Janace Slaughter.   She was an intelligent, compassionate, stunningly beautiful 26 year old young woman with big dreams, a loving heart and an adorably sweet 9 year old son named Elijah.  He was her world, her EVERYTHING. Rebecca wanted to make sure Elijah had every opportunity possible to succeed in life.  Despite the struggles of being a single parent, she managed to further her education and worked her fingers to the bone to afford Elijah the best  future. 

Her survivors include her son Elijah, her parents Janace (Greg Frankmore) Slaughter and James Thew; her sister, Brenda; and numerous other in-laws, friends, and family.

Cremation has taken place.   A private family service was held.
