Robert (Bob) McNutt, of Raton, New Mexico, was welcomed home on December 5th, 2023.  Born on November 4, 1948 to Floyd Odell McNutt and Twilda Ruth Davis.  Bob grew up a rambunctious child and graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Montana.  He continued his education by attending the Denver Autobody Technical College.  After which, he joined the Navy in 1968 where he completed 3 tours in Vietnam, earning him many awards and ribbons including a purple heart.  He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1972 and married his beloved wife Carol in 1973.  Bob started his driving career shortly after with Tomahawk working his way to Consolidated Freightways until their closure in 2000.   He continued working with Yellow Roadway and finally retiring with ABF in 2013.  Being that  "Bobby can't sit still" he bought his won truck and and became an owner operator in 2014, making his final retirement in 2020.  

Bob, devoted husband, father and grandfather, is survived by his wife Carol Ann McNutt; son, Brent (Nea) McNutt: daughter, Shelly McNutt; grandchildren, Connor, Brittany, Mark and Kaitlyn McNutt; his siblings, David (Carrie) McNutt, Robert (Penny) Simmons, Rebecka McNutt, JoAnna (Larry) Phillips, Mark (Katie) Johnson, Wyatt (Diane) Colvin and Myron (Mary Beth) Kibler as well as many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.  Too many family that were friends and friends that were family, Bob will be forever missed.  

The family has chosen not to have services at this time and will schedule a memorial for later in 2024.
