Robert R. Smith

Robert Russell Smith was born on Tuesday, June 16th, 1979 in Plano, TX. His passing on Friday, December 20th, 2024 left an ache with his loved ones that will not be forgotten. 

From the time he was young, Rob aimed to live a life of peace, acceptance, and kindness. This was evident in the ways he interacted with family, friends, strangers, and animals, with gentleness and understanding. He explored the world every time he had the chance, welcoming new experiences and appreciating the simple gifts of life and loved ones. Robert showed his enthusiasm for life through a witty sense of humor, artistic flare, love of nature, and care for his 3 little dogs and wife, who adore him greatly. He loved spending time with his daughter, constantly aiming to be a light in her life. 

Robert was loved deeply by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife Darlenne Smith and cherished daughter, Annabelle Smith, in addition to both of his parents, Kathy Chartrand and Jack Smith. Robert leaves behind 7 siblings, and is counted among their dearest friends. Jason, Emily, Angela, Ryan, Gregory, Andrew, and Charles, along with their spouses and his many nieces and nephews will miss Uncle Rob very much. Rob was preceded in death by his younger sister, Sariah, and will be laid to rest by her side. 

Robert’s funeral service will be a closed casket memorial held at Davis Mortuary, 128 Broadway Ave in Pueblo at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4th, 2025. The graveside service will follow at 2 PM in the Brookside Cemetery in Rye, Colorado. Both services will be for close friends and family.
