Therese “Terry” Slenn-Mazanec age 68, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Pueblo West, Colorado, on May 8, 2021.
Terry was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 16, 1953. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Slenn. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her mother Therese Slenn; her husband, Francis J Mazanec Jr.; her sons, John (Alicia Raebel) and Joseph and stepdaughter Valeri; her brothers, Walter (Patricia) Slenn, and Richard (Janneen) Slenn; her grandsons, James Raebel, William, and Oliver Mazanec; her sister-in-law, Nancy Vandegrift along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Terry was a registered nurse for over 40 years and retired from St. Mary Corwin Medical Center where she was affectionately known as "Nurse Terry.” She loved to read, garden, spend time with family, craft with her grandsons, and was enjoying her retirement to its fullest spending half her time at her home in Pueblo West, Colorado, and half her time at her home in Fort Myers, Florida. Anyone who knew her knew how much fun she was to be around.
In keeping with Terry’s wishes, there will be no public service but a celebration of life to be held in Cripple Creek. There has been a memorial Facebook page set up on her behalf with more information.
