Vince J Steele, 68, of Pueblo, Colorado was called home to be with our heavenly father February 28th 2025. Vince was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie D Steele and Evelyn VanMeter Steele; his brother in-law Larry Paraday; nephew Benjamin Steele and his niece Tiffany Paraday. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Lucy Gonzales Steele; his children, Nathaniel Steele (Ashley), Clinton Steele and his daughter, Misty Steele Garcia (Guillermo); grandchildren, Ryo Brooks, ldenVice Brooks, Joslyn Brooks, Jeramiah Steele, James Steele, Jacob Steele, Josiah Archuleta, Draven Steele, Drake Garcia, Dracelyn Garcia Yesenia Garcia; his twin brother, Vance Steele and sister Debbie Paraday; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Vince was a devoted Christian. He placed God at the center of all he did. He was a pastor and loved to serve God in all he did from teaching as a youth pastor to officiating weddings, to preaching to his Karate students. He has brought many people to be saved over his life. Vince served in the military as a nuclear weapons specialist for 5 years and was stationed overseas in Germany and was honorably discharged. Vince was a Soke Grand Master in Karate which he practiced for over 54 years with his twin brother Vance Steele. They taught at numerous schools in cities across the country. They founded their ministry Warriors for the Lord where they combined their love for the lord with their love of the Martial arts. Vince did a lot of street evangelism where his brother and his oldest son Nathaniel Steele and their students would put on Karate and brick breaking demonstrations while they would speak the word of God and bring people to know Jesus. A lot of people knew Vince for his love of snakes. He would love to show them off whenever he could and wasn't afraid to go and catch them while on bike rides and walking out at Liberty Point. Vince was a master jokester. He loved causing mayhem to everyone wherever he went. He had a diabolical love of scaring people especially his wife Lucy, daughter Misty, and his niece Brittany Paraday. But his biggest love was his wife Lucy. They met when there were 20 through his brother and her best friend. Went on three dates and got engaged on that 3rd date and married 3 months after. They had just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary February 5th. Vince will be very missed by all who knew him.
Vince's memorial service is to be held on Saturday, March15th at 2pm at The Oasis Christian Church, 347 S. Del Norte Avenue in Pueblo, West.
